Become A New Member

Joining the Blowing Rock Historical Society makes you part of an organization that makes a difference in our community.  You will enjoy our fun member-only events and be able to access historic photos and member only web content.  Your dues pay for helping us bring Blowing Rock’s history to life, and we do that in so many ways.

Joining is simple. Click the “New Membership” button below.  A new window will open in our membership portal.  Just follow the simple instructions in our membership portal.  You will.

Why You Should Belong

Everyone is welcome to join the Blowing Rock Historical Society.

Some of us have lived here all our lives, some of us for less than a year, and some of us just love to visit this charming village.  What we have in common is a love of the historic charm and culture of Blowing Rock and a desire to preserve the aspects of our community that have always attracted people.

If you answer "Yes" to any of these questions...

  1. Do you care about the historic charm and culture of Blowing Rock?

  2. Will you help us bring our history to life for our community?

  3. Are you interested in history?  (Hint: Ours is colorful!)

  4. Do you like attending events with fun, interesting people?

  5. Do you want to make a contribution to important local causes and events?

... you should be a member.
Together We Make A Difference

The benefits of being a member of BRHS (beyond those mentioned above) include:

  • Receiving communications and newsletters about what we are doing for our community and about upcoming events

  • Attendance at several “members only” events

  • Access to member only web content such as historic photos (Coming Soon)

  • Opportunity to volunteer as much or as little as you’d like

  • Knowing your efforts and dues go to a worthy cause

The Blowing Rock Historical Society does not have regular monthly meetings – rather we sponsor and participate in a variety of events and activities throughout the year. Some of our members live here year round but others do not so “full time” residency is not a requirement.

We are a volunteer organization and the board depends on the various skills and interests of our members to ensure an active organization.

If you’re interested in joining or renewing, you can print the Membership Form at the link below and mail it with your check to the address on the form. If you have any questions, please use the GET IN TOUCH link and we will attempt to answer them as quickly as possible. We look forward to meeting you if you wish to join BRHS.
